This work was inspired by a connection with nature and the peace and serenity it provides. The central figure is both a tiny shrub and a mountain, surrounded by symbolic talismans - e.g. clematis for growth, milk for nurture, cornflower for wild energy and a snake for rebirth.
This painting has been created with my unique paper cut method - each element is meticulously cut from extra thick 840gsm fine art paper, painted with colour and detail using matte acrylics and then assembled on a wooden panel. This method creates eye-catching texture and shadows.
This painting comes professionally framed in Tasmanian oak and glass and is ready to hang.
